Manufacturer of dairy-free yogurt Hälsa has expanded its portfolio with Organic Oatmilk Yogurt Cups using a ‘100% clean process’.

Created using organic oats grown sustainably by farmers in Scandinavia, the range is available in four flavours: plain (lightly sweetened with organic apple juice), strawberry, blueberry and mango.

Hälsa’s yogurt alternative claims it is the first plant-based yogurt that doesn’t use enzymes or chemicals to alter the grain during the manufacturing process. The basic procedure preserves all the beneficial nutrients of whole grain oats without adding anything artificial.

The founders of Hälsa, Helena Lumme and Mika Manninen have been determined to create a manufacturing food process that is 100% clean, as well as only using 100% clean ingredients. The organic Scandinavian oats are glyphosate-free and grown with zero water footprint, while topped with organic fruit and berries.

President and co-founder of Hälsa Helena Lumme said: “We cracked the code by developing a next generation manufacturing process that is 100% clean, and keeps all the nutritional benefits intact.”

The new product is free of all artificial and processed ingredients such as gums, emulsifiers, phosphates and processed sugar that may irritate the gut.

Each variant is certified organic, certified kosher and contains prebiotic and probiotics cultures. The yogurts are dairy and soy-free with no added sugar and contain 80-120 calories per cup.

“Eating plant-based saves planet’s resources. The way we get more consumers to buy plant-based is to make better products: delicious, nutritious, and completely free of additives,” said Hälsa CEO Mika Manninen.

The new Organic Oat Milk Yogurt cups contribute to Hälsa’s oatmilk collection of bottles and are now available in US retailers and online for a recommended retail price of $2.29 per 5.3oz cup.
