US-based business catering platform ezCater has received $100 million in a Series D funding round led by Wellington Management Company.

EzCater provides an online ordering platform and a suite of programmes to the foodservice industry, which allow restaurants and caterers to provide businesses with catering services for events.

EzCater’s range of restaurants includes over 60,000 businesses, including both local businesses and national chains, such as P.F. Changs, California Pizza Kitchen and Dickey’s Barbecue Pit.

The company’s product suite includes three programs: ezOrdering, ezManage, and ezDispatch.

EzOrdering enables restaurants to accept orders through their own websites; ezManageallows restaurants to “manage and understand their catering orders”; while ezDispatch connects clients to vetted delivery companies which then deliver ordered food.

The company says that the funding round will allow it to expand its operations and through the deepening of its product portfolio and through international expansion.
